The Bugs for Bugs Fly Parasite Mix is a blend of three small parasitoid wasps — Spalangia endius, Muscidifurax raptor and Nasonia vitripennis. They are 2–3mm long, they do not sting, and they parasitise fly pupae, so they break the breeding cycle rather than killing adult flies.
What it controls
House flies and stable flies around animal housing, stables and manure.
Two separate items — please read before ordering
Pack (2,500 wasps) — the live insects, supplied as parasitised pupae.
Release unit only — no wasps included — the dispenser the pupae go into. It contains no insects. If you need both, add both to your order.
Release rates
Large animals such as cows and horses: 100–500 wasps per animal per fortnight
Medium animals such as pigs: 40–100 wasps per animal per fortnight
Poultry and other small animals: 2–5 wasps per animal per fortnight
Transfer the pupae into release units and hang the units along fence lines.
Storage
Release as soon as possible after delivery. In extreme heat or heavy rain they can be held for several days in a dark room at 15–20°C. Do not refrigerate.

Ordered fresh for you
We don't keep live insects sitting on a shelf. When you place an order we bring them in from the insectary, then repack and dispatch them the same day they reach us, with cool packs. Allow around a week door to door, and release them as soon as they arrive.
